OUR STORY ...
The personality behind Idolci Gelato is our dedicated chef whom have had more than 25 years of experience in the kitchen. Her resume includes some of the finest privately owned restaurants along with international chain hotels such as the Four Seasons and the Ritz Carlton in Singapore.
Coming back to Gelato making... she also had a stint in Italy when she was working with the then owner of "Selara Cindai", possibly the first italian that brought Gelato into Malaysian shores back in the year 2000. The Italian owner was impressed with her dedication and sent her straight to Italy in order to perfect the art of making Gelato "the true Italian way". When the Italian owner decided to retire, he sold the factory to us at a humble price. We thank you for that, Mr. Alberto Ciaramicolli.
From that faithful day on, Idolci was conceived in 2007 with the guidance and support from family and friends. We've had plenty of support as well from Italian suppliers and gelato makers, and one that has relentlessly guided us in perfecting our art all the way from Italy - Mr. Franco Anastacia.
Today, Idolci Gelato is proud to be one of the few successful local company, managed by local Malaysians, combining the art acquired from Europe in making ice cream more tastier and easily available for everybody to savour. Teh Tarik Gelato anyone ?
